Our Philosophy

Limewood is a mix of our favorite South East Asian, Hawaiian, South American and Caribbean flavors centered around barbequed seafood, meats and great refreshing cocktails. In many ways it’s a Californian experience.

Limewood is the lastest BBQ restaurant created by the Maximal Concepts team, brought to you by the much-awarded Fish & Meat Hong Kong restaurant, brickhouse, blue butcher and more. We believe in the creative process of developing thoughtful, homegrown, real Vietnamese restaurants that resonate with HK offering generous cooking, quality ingredients, good design and fine cocktails.

Limewood is the latest restaurant created by the Maximal Concepts team that brought you the much awarded Fish & Meat, Brickhouse, Blue Butcher and more. We believe in the creative process of developing thoughtful, home grown, real restaurants that resonate with our city offering generous cooking, quality ingredients, good design and fine cocktails.

The menu has been created by our award winning culinary team helmed by Maximal Concepts Culinary Director, Malcolm Wood and executive chef Russell Doctrove (Fish & Meat). Russell grew up and trained in Hong Kong but gained valuable experience in the UK most notably at The Waterside Inn, Bray (under Alan Roux) and Restaurant Gordon Ramsay (Royal Hospital Road). Russell is half Dominician and is introducing Hong Kong to some of his family’s culinary secrets here at Limewood…

Cocktails

Limewood has its own bar that offers the best shaken and frozen margaritas, craft beers, cider and BBQ inspired cocktails that will quench a thirst and relax the soul. Sip on a charred coconut piña colada with aged rum, fresh pineapple and mescal. Try our smokey take on a true beach classic or relax with our refreshing BBQ pineapple cuban mojito with aged rum, mint, cinnamon, cane sugar and soda. Using flavors to enhance our seafood and meat dishes, our cocktails utilize herbs and fruits such as pomegranate, calamansi, jalapeño, kaffir lime and watermelon to name a few.
